The Faculty of Law, Manipal University Jaipur, has successfully organised an Expert Lecture on 'Emerging Issues in Family Laws' by Prof. (Dr.) Poonam Pradhan Saxena. This event was a part of the third lecture of 'Law Scholarly', an expert lecture series on diverse legal themes. Prof. (Dr.) Poonam Pradhan Saxena is the former Vice Chancellor of National Law University, Jodhpur and Former Professor in Charge, Law Centre II, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. She is a Senior Fulbright Scholar and Visiting Faculty at University of Baltimore, Maryland, USA. She is also a recipient of Shastri-Canadian Fellowship and has more than 40 years of experience in delivering lectures in different universities across Canada and other parts of the world. She has contributed tremendously to the legal scholarship through works in Family Laws, Property Laws, and has also revised the Mulla's Transfer of Property, 1872. She has also authored four volumes of Halsbury Laws of India on Property Law and Easements, Trusts and Charities, Family Law I and Family Law II. All are published by LexisNexis. These books are cherished and referred by students and scholars alike.
The Law Scholarly Series is an initiative of Faculty of Law, Manipal University Jaipur, as a part of its decennial year celebrations, providing a platform for legal luminaries to engage in contemporary discourses with Ph.D. Research Scholars, Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate students, and faculty members.
