AICTE APPROVED FIVE-DAY SHORT-TERM PROGRAMME: DEFECT FREE CONSTRUCTION REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE

A five-day Short-Term Programme (STP) on "Defect-Free Construction Repair and Maintenance", conducted by the School of Architecture and Design, Manipal University Jaipur, in collaboration with NITTTR Chandigarh, was held from 16th to 20th December 2024. The event brought together faculties, Ph.D. scholars, and industry experts, including Dr. A.K. Sharma (Retd. CPWD Chief Engineer) and professionals from organizations like SIKA Pvt. Ltd. and CBRI Roorkee. Aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), the program emphasized proactive maintenance, advanced repair techniques, and innovative materials to achieve defect-free construction. Through technical workshops and expert discussions, participants gained practical insights into sustainable methodologies, quality assurance, and lifecycle approaches in infrastructure development. This collaborative initiative bridged gaps between academia and industry, equipping attendees with the technical knowledge and skills necessary to address modern construction challenges and contribute to resilient, sustainable infrastructure.
