Venue : MANJEET CHILDREN HOSPITAL (DMICC), VIDYADHAR NAGAR, JAIPUR @
As part of the Architectural Design Studio - V, 3rd Year B.Arch. students participated in a case study visit to Manjeet Children Hospital (DMICC) in Jaipur on September 19, 2024, with the expert guidance of Ar. Vikas Wadhwa and the visionary leadership of Dr. Manjeet Singh. The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to hospital design, emphasizing functional requirements, spatial planning, and integration of modern healthcare technologies. Students analyzed key elements such as zoning, circulation, patient flow, and departmental layouts, focusing on patient comfort, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Observations included critical services like HVAC, plumbing, waste management, and infection control systems, offering insights into sustainable design practices. Aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), this initiative bridged theoretical concepts and real-world applications, equipping students with interdisciplinary skills to design resilient, sustainable healthcare facilities while preparing them for future professional challenges in architectural practice.
