BUILDING SERVICES OF HOSPITALS: CAPACITY ENHANCEMENT SESSION

The Expert Talk on Building Services of Hospitals, conducted on 19th September 2024 as part of Architectural Design Studio - V, was a significant academic initiative aimed at providing 3rd Year B.Arch. students with a comprehensive understanding of the technical and functional aspects of hospital design. Delivered by industry expert Mr. Pradeep Puniya, the session addressed critical topics such as HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical layouts, waste management, fire safety, and infection control. By bridging theoretical knowledge with practical applications, the talk equipped students to tackle the complexities of healthcare architecture while promoting sustainable and innovative design strategies. Aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), the event emphasized the integration of advanced technologies and eco-friendly practices in hospital design. This enriching experience prepared students to design efficient, sustainable healthcare facilities that meet global standards for safety, functionality, and patient care.>
