National Workshop on Antennas for Health Monitoring Applications

FROM 20 Dec 2024 TO 20 Dec 2024

Venue : Board Room, Faculty Block - II, 1AB @ 2:00 PM

The department of Electrical Engineering is organizing a National workshop "Antennas for Health Monitoring Applications" on 20 December 2024 at 2:00 PM in Board Room, Faculty Block II, 1AB.

Antennas for Health Monitoring Applications are essential for modern biomedical systems, enabling wireless communication and real-time health data transmission. They are compact, energy-efficient, and biocompatible, operating in ISM or UWB frequency bands. Applications include wearable devices (e.g., fitness trackers, ECG monitors), implantable devices (e.g., pacemakers, glucose monitors), remote patient monitoring, and medical imaging. Challenges involve human body interaction, battery life, material constraints, and data security. Future advancements aim to integrate AI for predictive analytics, develop flexible antennas for smart textiles, and enhance miniaturization for implants. These technologies are critical for improving personalized and remote healthcare systems.
